The Corporate Partnership VP will support AMA NEW growth with a focus on corporation sponsorship program. Efforts to build relationships with organizations across Northeast Wisconsin will provide opportunities to build and sustain our local chapter of the American Marketing Association.

VP of Corporate Partnerships - Job Description
This position will manage AMA NEW Corporate relationships with current and prospective member organizations, the business community as well as conduct outreach to organizations in the community offering access to Marketing Talent across Northeast Wisconsin as well as Event Sponsorships and other ways to brand. They will work in conjunction with the Membership Team, Board Members, Programming and Engagement to create the best strategy for each company and customize a value proposition that shows return on their investment in supporting the local AMA.

Key Responsibilities are to develop a strategy, conduct outreach and build a portfolio of AMA NEW Sponsors who will benefit from being associated with AMA NEW and investing in their brand with the Marketing Leadership Community in Northeast Wisconsin.

This smart, high energy and strategic leader will raise funds to help achieve revenue goals that will support all efforts of the AMA NEW organization. They will identify new potential corporate partners and develop comprehensive strategies based on research and evaluation.

S/He will work collaboratively with other Board Members (Membership, Communications, Events and Engagement) to create and implement sponsorship objectives included in our corporate partnership plans as well as manage execution and fulfillment of sponsorship agreements that will benefit areas of need for AMA NEW that could be covered with a cash or in-kind sponsorships.

• Develop and Implement the Corporate Partnership Strategy based on existing goals and current sponsorship deck of AMA NEW.
• Lead the Assessment, Valuation and Packaging of Corporate Sponsorship Assets available with AMA NEW including marketing, events, etc.
• Develop a pipeline of new prospects through outbound solicitations. Cultivate, assess, secure and evaluate relationships with corporate partners in support of AMA NEW mission.
• Work with Corporate Partnership Development Director to strategize on all potential partners with each corporation or organization prior to activity.
• Manage pre-meeting/call activity, including pitch, presentations, and proposals.
• Execute post-contract activities for new sponsorships including: negotiating donation and benefits, working with AMA NEW process and execution of partnership agreements
• Maintaining communication with corporate partners to keep them current on value-added opportunities and to acknowledge their payments or contributions
• Coordinate logistics for on-site activities with the VP of Programming, track results and create recap reports for all corporate partners as determined by the corporate partnership agreement
• Take responsibility for financial reporting of sponsorship activities, running queries and generating reports on sponsorship activity in AMA NEW database
• Maintain a solid understanding of AMA NEW, its programs and initiatives, history and goals
• Review corporate partnership trends and identify opportunities to incorporate these trends where appropriate to identify and secure corporate sponsors and in-kind donations for events
• Work closely with Corporate Partnership Development Director to develop and implement a strategy for attaining revenue and promotional goals
• Create a program of meaningful volunteer opportunities for employees of corporate funders

Desired Skills / Experience
• Strong negotiation and clear communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to thrive and work effectively as part of a small team and remain self-motivated and goal-oriented. Excellent computer skills, specifically MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) are preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, the ability to prioritize and problem-solve for positive outcomes. Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Ability to build rapport with Partners prospects, volunteers and the public with diplomacy, discretion, and customer-service orientation. Essential to have intellectual curiosity and a strong interest in the American Marketing Association and Northeast Wisconsin

Est Time Required: 5-10 Hours per month includes time spent attending meetings, events, carrying out duties of the role and follow up with members if needed. Monthly Board Meeting Required with attendance for most events. Help drive membership and engagement.
