DIRECTOR OF EVENT EXPERIENCES

The Director of Event Experiences for the American Marketing Association (AMA) Northeast Wisconsin chapter role supports the VP of Event Experiences in planning and executing the chapter's calendar of engaging and educational events. The Director of Event Experiences will support the VP of Event Experiences in the planning, coordination, and execution of a calendar of engaging and educational programs for the AMA Northeast Wisconsin chapter. This role will assist with event logistics, from securing compelling speakers to managing on-site event and virtual event execution. The ideal candidate is passionate about the marketing industry and will help ensure the chapter delivers valuable, cost-effective experiences for its members and the broader marketing community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Event Logistics and Execution: Assist the VP in overseeing all logistical aspects for monthly programs, networking mixers, and special events. This includes confirming venue details, coordinating with vendors, and supporting on-site event management to ensure smooth operations.
  • Support Speaker and Content Management: Help secure compelling speakers and coordinate with them to develop educational and relevant content that aligns with the chapter's mission and member interests.
  • Collaborate with Chapter Board and Volunteers: Work closely with the VP and other board members, including Communications and Sponsorships, to ensure successful event promotion and integration of partners. The Director will also assist in coordinating and managing event-day volunteers.

DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS

The Director of Communications for the American Marketing Association Northeast Wisconsin chapter is a key volunteer leadership position responsible for working with VP of Communications to manage and execute the chapter's comprehensive communication strategy to engage members, attract new participants, and elevate the chapter's brand. In collaboration with the VP of Communications, Director of Media Content & Strategy, this role oversees the creation and distribution of internal and external messaging, ensuring a consistent and positive brand identity across all platforms. The director will work in conjunction with Director of Digital Content and Strategy to oversee communications and ensure the timely promotion of chapter events, initiatives, and other valuable content to the Northeast Wisconsin marketing community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manages Communication Channels, including social media platforms, email newsletters, and the chapter's website, to ensure a unified and consistent brand voice.
  • Implements content delivery by generating engaging material that highlights chapter news, events, and other valuable information relevant to marketing professionals in the region.
  • Support the VP of Communications in developing and implementing strategic communication plans and goals, assisting in the recruitment of communication-focused volunteers, and reporting on the effectiveness of communication efforts.

DIRECTOR OF MARKETING & MEMBER ENGAGEMENT
(VOLUNTEERS)

The Director of Marketing & Member Engagement for the AMA Northeast Wisconsin chapter is responsible for driving the chapter's membership benefits and fostering a vibrant, engaged member community. This strategic leader will oversee member retention, volunteer engagement and communication initiatives designed to promote and attract new members, and ensure existing members receive exceptional value. The director works collaboratively with other board members on sponsorships, events, and communications to effectively convey the benefits of AMA membership and create opportunities for professional development, networking, and knowledge-sharing among Northeast Wisconsin's marketing professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead member recruitment and retention efforts by creating and executing initiatives that showcase the value of AMA membership. This includes identifying opportunities to increase member satisfaction, gathering feedback, and highlighting the chapter's robust offerings, such as speaker events and networking opportunities.
  • Contributes to membership and volunteer recognition by gathering and sharing  content for email newsletters, website updates, and social media posts, as well as leveraging marketing analytics to interpret data and improve engagement.
  • Works to Market Membership Benefits with other board members. Implements tactics outlined by VP of Membership and follows up with members via email or in person events. Conducts new member welcome outreach and orientation.

VP OF STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS

The Vice President of Strategic Partnerships for AMA NEW is a key executive board position responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive corporate partnership and sponsorship strategy. This volunteer leadership role focuses on building and nurturing high-value relationships with businesses, organizations, and the broader marketing community across Northeast Wisconsin. The VP of Strategic Partnerships will work to secure partnerships by crafting compelling value propositions that demonstrate a clear return on investment for AMA NEW partners. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong network, excellent negotiation skills, and a passion for supporting the local marketing community. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated leader who can collaborate effectively with other board members to align partnership goals to provide professional development, networking, and knowledge-sharing opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, secure, and manage partnerships: With the help of the President / Board members, develop a strategic pipeline of new partners and manage existing relationships to secure fiscal and in-kind sponsorships, event hosts and other easy to implement plans. This includes creating and presenting customized sponsorship packages that align with partner objectives and AMA NEW's offerings.
  • Lead partnership strategy and execution: Work closely with other board members, including Programming, Communications, and Membership, to ensure that partnerships are integrated across the chapter's activities and events. This involves coordinating logistics for partner engagement, tracking results, and ensuring all benefits are fulfilled.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador: Act as a key representative in Northeast Wisconsin business community, promoting the value of partnering. Attend industry events, networking, and other opportunities. Develop a reputation as a thought leader in the local marketing landscape.
